Tuesday Tastings with Tony: An Education Series - ENO TERRA
Eno Terra and AnthonyVerdoni, “Il Professore,” will present a 6 class introductory series on the Wines of Italy. Classes will be held every Tuesday starting October 16 to November 20, 2018. Learn about the different Italian regions and the unrivaled multitude of varietals that make Italy the world’s largest producer of wine. Taste along with Il Professore those wines that are most representative and typical of the different regions. Each class is scheduled for 90 minutes along with hand out material. Light assaggini (snacks) will be served. The class syllabus will be posted at EnoTerra.com. All classes will begin at 6:30 pm and are intended as an educational experience and therefore will be limited and must be reserved in advanced.

Class 1 - – Oct. 16: Wines of the Northwest– Wines from Piemonte, plus Liguria and Vallee d’Aosta. The art of tasting wines; the history of wines of Italy. (SOLD OUT)
Class 2 – Oct. 23: Wines from Italy's Great Lake Zones– Wines from Lombardy and Veneto and the effect of lakes, rivers and the sea upon wines.
Class 3 – Oct. 30: Wines of the Northeast, the School of Italy– Wines from Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige and Friuli-Venezia-Giulia. Wine science in Italy. the effect of Altitude upon wine.
Class 4 – Nov. 6: Wines from Central Italy, Italy's Heartland– Wines from Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, Marche, Abruzzo and Molise. Modern wines of international importance, using both foreign and native varietals.
Class 5 – Nov.13: Wines of the South, Enotria Tellus– Wines from Campania, Basilicata, Puglia and Calabria. Modern wines, ancient vines.
Class 6 –, Nov. 20: The Islands– Wines from Sardinia and Sicily. Wines from the Phoenician, Greek and Roman eras.
